The Composite Laboratory
A fully-equipped learning space in rural Bihar — where science, technology, and innovation meet curiosity.
Location
Kaina Village, Samastipur District, Bihar
Established
2024
Implementation Partner
KCS Foundation India
Project Overview
The Brightminds Composite Laboratory was established to provide underprivileged students in rural Bihar with access to practical science, technology, computer education, and hands-on experimentation. The laboratory serves students from multiple partner schools and villages, offering dedicated learning zones for every major discipline — from physics and chemistry to computers and robotics.
The laboratory is operated in partnership with KCS Foundation, which manages ground implementation, community coordination, and day-to-day operations. It is maintained to high safety and quality standards, with a sustainability plan for long-term operation.

Laboratory Zones
Each zone is designed for a specific area of practical learning.
activeComputer & Digital Learning Zone
45Equipped with laptops and learning software, this zone introduces students to typing, digital literacy, coding fundamentals, and internet research.
activePhysics Experiment Zone
40Hands-on physics experiments covering optics, electricity, mechanics, and sound — bringing theoretical concepts to life.
activeChemistry Experiment Zone
35A safe space for students to conduct basic chemistry experiments — reactions, acids and bases, and material properties.
activeBiology Learning Zone
38Microscopes, slides, and specimens allow students to explore the microscopic world — from onion cells to leaf structures.
activeMathematics & Problem-Solving Zone
50Interactive tools and puzzles that make mathematics tangible — geometry models, abacuses, and problem-solving challenges.
activeRobotics & Innovation Zone
25An emerging zone where students experiment with basic electronics, circuits, and introductory robotics concepts.
